The guys (Gpa, Uncle Joe, Joey, Jordan and Jerred) were going to the Air Force Museum and we were to have a "girls" day. We started out having breakfast at Bob Evans, then went to some of the shops on front street and on the west side. Abigail did pretty good. Mom, Sarah, Aunt Debbie, Abigail and I came back to my house to hang out till we decided what we would do later on. Mom took Sarah to go running and Abigail took a good nap. Later on, we went back to gma's for supper. However, I didn't stay extremely long b/c Chris was taking care of Abigail and she was being fussy. We gave her a bottle, bath and put her to bed. She slept off and on until about 2:15. From then on, she did not want to be put down and her cry sounded as if she didn't feel good. I suspected it was an ear infection b/c I had seen her playing with her ear off and on during the week. I ended up laying in the recliner until Chris got up at 7.

Abigail turned 5 months old.
Jerred came over to play a game on the PS3. Mom came up with Geneva for a little while. She also brought Joey. Jerred had gone over to Gma's to figure out what the plan for the day was, so Joey took a turn on the PS3 while Geneva played with the GeoTrax. Jordan and Jerred came to play against each other in a game when mom took Joey back to Gma's. They played for a short time, then they had to go back to Gma's. Abigail was fussy in the afternoon, so I ended up holding her and rocking her to sleep. She slept in my arms for over an hour. Chris worked on supper and then she woke up about 6. We quickly ate and we were finishing when Sarah came back from running. We all quickly got ready to go to church and Sarah ate a sandwich on the way there.

After I got up, Uncle Joe, Joey and Jerred came over with GeoTrax. Uncle Joe has gotten some at Flea Markets or on Clearance and had given us some before. He sorted through what he had to give some to Wendy and leave some for Abigail to play with in a few years. Joey and Jerred set it up and had fun playing with it. Jerred stayed and ate lunch with me before Uncle Joe picked him up on their way to town. Joey and Jerred came over to play the PS3 after Chris got home. After we went to gma's we had a little graduation party for Joey, who graduated from High School in May. We had hot dogs and hamburgers and later, cake and ice cream. Joey seemes really happy that we did that for him.

My aunt, uncle and cousins were planning to come for a visit and were to arrive in the evening. I still had somethings to get ready, since my cousin Sarah was going to be staying with us. Leann from Help Me Grow came in the morning, then I got busy finishing everything around the house. They arrived at Gma's (who lives a street away from me) around 10 or so in the morning. After I ate lunch and Abigail woke up from her nap, we walked over to Gma's to see my family that I hadn't seen since 2001. We stayed for a little while, then came back home so Abigail could get a nap. After supper, Abigail and I went back to Gma's. Mom made a chicken casserole for all of them to eat, then we played croquet and sat around and talked. Chris was late getting home but came over to gma's after he did a few things at our house. Around 9, Sarah brought her suitcase and we came back to our house.

Abigail got up around 7:30. I was already awake so I got up and let Chris go back to sleep. After he got up, I started working on mixing up cookie dough while he was installing a new ceiling fan in the kitchen. Later, we worked on peeling and slicing apples. I made a pie for us but froze most of the apples. Abigail cooperated so I was able to clean and wax the kitchen floor while Chris was cleaning and doing things in the garage. Grandma came over to bring a plant that she had that was too big for her house now. She stayed and played with Abigail for a little while.

We still were trying to not use the pacifier, which of course meant a lot of fussing. But, she would settle down and go to sleep. I did give her the binky in the afternoon b/c I needed her to go to sleep. Chris rode his bike home from work. There was a guy that borrowed our truck to move and he brought it back soon after Chris got home. Then we got ready and went to Parkersburg. We stopped at Toys R Us to get a carseat. Since we got the convertible carseat at the carseat check last week, we missed the convenience of the infant carrier. So, we went to get one at Toys R Us but they were out. We ate at Red Lobster. We tried to give Abigail carrots while we were waiting for our food, but it didn't work out as good as we had hoped. After we ate, we went to Sam's Club and Wal-Mart. We finally found a carseat at K-Mart and we went to Home Depot to get a ceiling fan for the kitchen. I gave Abigail a bottle while I was waiting for Chris at Home Depot. She fell asleep on the way home. When we got home, we gave her cereal and put her to bed.

Abigail's physical therapist came at 10, then it was naptime again. Chris came home for lunch. Late afternoon, I was reading a book we have and got thinking about Abigail and her pacifier. I guess it is common for babies to wake up often during naps or at night b/c they don't know how to soothe themselves back to sleep. So, we tried to let her cry herself to sleep. It didn't work too well to start with but she slept for 9 hrs straight at night.
